Internet Marketing in 2008 - build your customer lists
One thing that I keep reinforcing for my business coaching clients is this: your list of potential customers is just as important as the client list. Meaning, manage the list of people who have previously shown an interest in your product or service (whether purchased or not) is just as important to retain existing customers.
We talk to add to your list ... Let's say you put a dot on your website for your visitors to subscribe to a free newsletter ... they just put in their name and email. Then if you put in the name of 4 friends' e-mail, you can send them a free ebook on any site is about.
First of all, they are beginning to create a list of potential customers, where before the people visiting your site with no name and leaving were just that - without a name. Then, you are multiplying the length of this list using viral marketing techniques ... Email them to give you any friends who have the same offer.
Usually, a visitor will go to your site about 7 times before buying something from you. When you have a long list of prospects that are interested in your products, you have the opportunity to market to them via email several times! So, if the potential customer visits your site 12-15 times because of the e-mail send them useful and informative, it is likely that many become customers. Using the current marketing year, with construction techniques such list will generate more traffic to your site, the most loyal customers, and increase your sales volume.
Using the same technique of sending information to your current customers remember them because they are your customer to begin with ... and continue to add to your value as one of their producers / suppliers .......
