Leadership Coaching at Gettysburg
The Battle of Gettysburg is one of the most important events in U.S. history. This is a battle in which they were taken more lives than any other battle in North America. In this small farming community in 1863, George Meade's Union army composed of 90,000 troops met Robert Lee's Confederate Army of 75,000. We can read volumes of literature and accounts of heroes, leaders, front-line soldiers and others directly and indirectly affected by the event. Certainly there are incredible leadership coaching and other life lessons from these men and women and strategic events that have become the crucial turning point in the Civil War.
The morning of the first day of the three-day battle, Colonel Joshua L. Chamberlain was faced with an opportunity for coaching and influence. As the sun was above the horizon, Joshua L. Chamberlain in front of a group of tired soldiers from the Second Brigade, Maine. At that point, these men had participated in a heavy battle for weeks and have been looking for mutiny. However, because of the number of victims before Gettysburg, their service at this time was in desperate need. Chamberlain explained that he had been instructed to "order" these men to join the brigade or would be shot. However, he calmly informed the troops that did not intend to follow these instructions. He acknowledged their suffering, and then explained the need for their military service and the role they could play. Chamberlain eloquently proceeded to instill a new target for these men, helping them to remember why they were involved and it was originally inserted. He referred to their comrades who made the ultimate sacrifice. He sought their commitment to move forward with conviction. "If you lose, you lose the war if you join us, be grateful." Finally, he proposed a strong idea: "Join us", and if so, the situation (the Mutiny) not be revisited. If they chose not to join, you seek fair treatment in their favor. "We are moving out," he concluded, and gave them the opportunity to reflect and determine where their efforts would be lying.
Shortly after, as the brigade began to Gettysburg Chamberlain wondered if people would follow his lead. Trainers stress management and psychologists tell us that there are two types of stress. There is good stress that comes from things like exercise and the fight for a cause and there is the kind of stress that is labeled uncomfortable, which causes high blood pressure, hypertension, anxiety and sleepless nights. And all this is very real, the trick is to understand and cope with stress.
You need to challenge the chaos in your life and use that stress to do great things. You must not let the stress becomes distress and cause health problems. Challenge and chaos is a good thing, there is always a part of the chaos, but if you are in trouble too you may never see an opportunity. Some people thrive on chaos and enjoy some 'stress from time to time.
The long-term cost of the points is what you should worry about and if you have this in your life you need to try to get rid of it. Managing algae
There are several ways to manage algae in your backyard pond. The best way is, however, when you have different things all working together in harmony to better take care of all algae problems you may have.
The things I'm talking about are the following to handle the algae. In the first place, it is necessary to have some sort of pond filter. There are many different types on the market in many different price ranges. Personally, I think submersible pond filters are the best. Are in the water and out of sight. I'm not trying to be pushy, but you might want to check out my homemade pond filter, it works great.
The second thing you need to help manage the algae is a UV filter. These filters should be high on your list when it comes to things you must have for your pond. What they do is kill the algae as the pond water passes from the light within the tube enclosing it. They can be hooked in conjunction with the filter and pond water pump, or separately.
The third thing you have is plenty of pond plants. You should have both surface and underwater plants. Pond plants help break down organic waste from the fish and help manage algae. Great underwater plants include Anacharis and hornwort, and surface facilities are good water hyacinth and water lettuce.
I'd rather not use chemicals, and I so can not comment on them. The three things mentioned above should be almost everything you need to keep the algae under control. Try to keep ahead of the game and not let the algae get out of control, because if you do, you could have a battle on your hands to get rid of everything. It's up to you to manage algae, do not let you manage .......

Americans hit by the spending trends Bunny Impulse Shopping, Spending Binge, Advertising and Bugs
One of my favorite quotes from a Daffy Duck cartoon is an animator (off) when Daffy was trying to escape sometime during World War 2. The premise of the situation was that if everyone in America (Side note: I never understood why abbreviate United States as "America" as other countries are not part of America, but I digress), return to point, if everyone in America would watch their spending, the country would have more resources for the war effort.
So the quote is the animator, "is this trip really necessary?" Rephrase that when you are thinking of buying something. This article is really necessary? Most of what you buy on impulse and do not get used much, if at all, so the spending is wasteful. I took this as I was looking for a device to hold a bagel to make it easier to cut. Wait, I need this? No.
After all, what to do with the huge stack of advertisements that accompany the Sunday paper? You page through them "just for fun" and you find yourself thinking of spending some money on the latest DVD or an iPod or some other element of the genre? The whole purpose of these ads is to get people to watch and drool. Put the whole section of ads away (and do not let your spouse watch them either.
We need a new mindset of saving and spending. This country has hit a new all time low for the rescue. The recommended level of savings in the bank is at least sufficient to cover three months of expenses, but very few people could take up to three weeks. Allowing the urge to go shopping, and actually in cash instead of credit, you can save a lot of money.
Daffy has smacked around a lot in that cartoon, and eventually discovered that it was Bugs Bunny doing the smacking. Bugs Daffy as consciousness, what a concept. But we all need that consciousness. We need to support each other and realize that the only way the situation can change is that if you change. To change your spending habits, you need to look at your cash flow in a whole new way....
