The Alvarez Artist Frugoni
It was after many years of travel to the Uruguayan painter Sergio? Alvarez Frugoni came to settle in Mallorca in 1997. He traveled between South America, Brazil, Uruguay and Switzerland during the nineties and finally chose the Balearic Islands, particularly the people of Alara, as their place of work.
It was not accidental choice though. The basic element of light in Mallorca has long been described as extraordinary artists and this, along with other portions of inspiration, he persuaded the artist to make their home on the island.
A number of features of life in Mallorca have won the South American artist, including lifestyle, cultural and intellectual diversity and the island's proximity to other major artistic capitals. Alvarez believes this Mediterranean island maintains a real environment, is a bubble in a hurricane Europe, resulting in positive energy alive and fresh
His work
The artist works primarily with acrylics on canvas, but has also painted frescos and sculptures made. When Alvarez creates, gets itself, producing work that is rich, soulful and intense. Represents the meandering nature of his life, the chaos of his thoughts, the depth of his soul, and the size of their fantasies.
Its color is related to psychological and explosives makes, uses the contrasts, play with it, it Dominga. In his hands, the color is soft and suddenly violent, searing and cozy, dark and cold so quickly. Is present, invasive, simultaneously quiet and cheeky. These colors come with subtle forms. They are an innovation for travel - time travel in space, in the spirit, and symbols. Travelling in abstraction and reality, in the infinitely small and infinitely large.
These are life forms that remind us who we truly are, sophisticated creations full of dreams and experiences, tortured by our fears, influenced by our emotions and our feelings. Sometimes empty, at other times full, marked by the past, absorbed by this and anxious about the future.
Some of the figures in the artist's work are obvious, attract the eye immediately, as if to make contact. These are followed by some less obvious, sometimes small, fragile, hidden, or even the canvas so broad that they can not contain them. They are never made by accident, and living in a fantasy world, these creatures speak with each of us. Animals, men, women, clothed or naked, objects of our lives - boats, pianos. These creatures have different faces, toward mature our vision, opening new channels of thought, never indifferent.
